Homemade Mushroom Lentil Burger

Image
Vegan Burger Recipes – by Merle O'Neal, YouTube I followed the recipe below to a tee except my mix became too liquid too quickly since I have a blender not a food processor handy. So I added 1 1/2 cups gluten free flour. It worked. The patties formed nicely once the g-free flour was added.   There were no baking instructions in the print version of the recipe, so I baked at 345 degrees for 30 minutes, flipped the patties for ten more minutes. The next time I’ll try 15 minutes, then flip for 15 minutes more. MUSHROOM LENTIL BURGER 1 tablespoon chia seeds 3 tablespoons water 3 tablespoons olive oil, Divided 8 oz mushrooms finely chopped 1 tablespoon soy sauce ½ tsp turmeric ½ tsp cumin 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce ½ teaspoon smoked paprika 1 small onion Diced 2 cloves garlic minced ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon pepper 1 ½ cups lentils Cooked 1 cup oats Added: 1/1/2 cup of gluten free flour Mix together in a food processor or blender and then f

Dairy and Soy Free Caramel from Sweetened Condensed Milk

Image
Turning Oatmeal Condensed Milk Into Caramel or Dulce de Leche. I had leftover Oatmeal-based condensed milk from a can, Nature’s Charm Sweetened Condensed Oatmilk, 11.25 Oz. Pour the leftover condensed milk into a ball jar and close the lid tightly. Place the ball jar with the condensed milk into a slow cooker. A small slow cooker is perfect for this project. Fill the slow cooker pot with water and make sure the ball jar is submerged. Cover with the lid and place on high, a few hours on high will do. It was about four hours. But you can check on the ball jar as you go. Voila, the condensed milk turned into caramel. You can also use this method with a sealed can, after removing the label – see directions on the internet. #caramel \

Plant-Based Biodegradable and (Fact-Checked) Compostable Cleansing Wipes Great to see that plant-based biodegradable wipes are now available. At $5.99, they are more expensive than conventional wipes, but worth it for the ingredients alone. #witchhazel #biodegradablewipes

Creamy Strawberry Agua Fresca, Dairy and Soy Free

Image
Strawberries, 2 cups hulled Nature’s Charm Sweetened Condensed Oatmilk, ¼ of a cup.   Add more for a sweeter, more syrupy mix.   Note – you can substitute a few tablespoons of Agave Syrup in place of the Sweetened Condensed Oatmilk. Oatmilk, 1 to 1 ½ cups Water Ice Combine one cup of strawberries and two cups of water in a blender.   Blend together until combined. Strain the liquid into a bowl to remove seeds. Pour this strained liquid into the blender. Add oat milk, sweetened condensed milk and ice. Blend together. Add 1 cup of strawberries to the blender. Blend for seconds, keeping the strawberries as chunks in the blended mix.

On the way to.
