A Semi-Sustainable Lo-Fi Coffee & Tea Corner for Fall

Turned a tight space into a practical and aesthetically pleasing Coffee & Tea Corner. No room even for a tea drawer. Studying the many online home Coffee & Tea CafĂ© visuals was enjoyable and led to some conclusions:  the need to stack vertically, the need for wood, some signage in the form of printed words a la designer Rae Dunn, some interesting looking containers.

All that’s missing is a small plant but I won’t do it unless it’s real. As for Rae Dunn’s decline in popularity?  Keep that collection because eventually it’ll be back in style and sellable since everything comes back around again. 

Products:

Caspari Roll-Up Bamboo Placemats in Black, $20.00 (are smaller but much less expensive compared to Chilewich at $88.00). The placemats will be used elsewhere besides this corner.   

Timieeya Tea Bag Organizer - Bamboo Tea Storage With Drawer 3 Layer, Organizer for Tea Bags, $32.99.   You could say this is consumerism. You could also say that it will prevent me from buying yet another package of unnecessary tea since I can actually see what I have.

Acacia Wood Tabletop Stand - $16.32, at Marshalls, helps cover the electrical outlet.

Total:  $69.31

The contrasting containers are mine including everyone’s grandmother’s or great grandmother’s crystal vase re-purposed to hold Keurig cups.  An Organic Tazo and Twinings fan.  Plastic free tea bag brands include:  Twinings, Pukka and Tetley.  Moving to a stainless steel Keurig cup soon.
