A Healthier Lemonade π
Some of us are lemon people: lemon bars, lemon fettuccine, lemon soap. Lemonade on a summer day is one of life’s simplest pleasures. Riffing off Dollar Days at the local grocery store, when lemons are a dollar on sale, here is a healthier lemonade that’s bright and hydrating.
Ingredients
· 1 cup coconut water
Here’s a good one, https://amzn.to/3V0Kk7N
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1–2 tsp agave or maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: mint, thyme, or trace minerals
Adjust to taste.
Coconut Lemon Water High:
- Coconut water adds natural electrolytes
- Lemon brings acidity and vitamin C
- Agave/maple syrup are nutritive sweeteners — simply better sources of sweetener than hard white sugar… These are more complex flavor raves
- A pinch of salt turns this into a DIY electrolyte drink instead of a $40 online powder
