La Fermière’s Yogurt: Sophisticated Flavors, French Indulgence Re-Use

This trend is for you if you have spare time and no friends.

Have you had or heard of La Fermière’s ceramic-pot yogurts?  The brand sells its full-fat yogurt in little pots that are difficult to throw away. Their colorful Provençal terracotta and clear container packaging is aesthetically très belle, durable and intentionally reusable.  You are getting a ceramic or clear glass pot for the price of a yogurt.

The internet has therefore turned the containers into a small décor and upcycling viral trend with brand encouragement. Check out the creativity online, people make mini vases or planters, candle holders, espresso cups and drinkware storage jars, lots going on, blowing up the socials.  A win for sustainability culture, French Indulgence packaging and DIY/home‑décor.

But there’s a catch!  The containers are not recyclable and they don’t feature an actual lid.

Practical souls take another route.  Silicone, bamboo and plastic lids are sold on Etsy and Amazon specifically sized for La Fermière pots, allowing people to use them as sealed storage containers:  https://amzn.to/4f7uf3I

Thus, with a re-use hack, turning the pots into functional kitchenware— for parfait jars, small batch, good morning overnight‑oats containers (pictured here), spice jars or snack cups.  For little things here and there. Small pieces of leftover fruits or vegetables.

The next sale of the La Fermière’s yogurts will complete my personal, lidded bamboo collection. The yogurts are available in Cupset (colored ceramic) or Fruit at the Bottom (clear glass) containers. My favorite, in the clear glass container, the Mango Passion Fruit:  https://amzn.to/4wCPC49

They're an Insta thing but here’s La Fermière’s US website:  https://www.lafermiere.us/
