Turned a tight space into a practical and aesthetically pleasing Coffee & Tea Corner. No room even for a tea drawer. Studying the many online home Coffee & Tea Café visuals was enjoyable and led to some conclusions:   the need to stack vertically, the need for wood, some signage in the form of printed words a la designer Rae Dunn, some interesting looking containers. All that’s missing is a small plant but I won’t do it unless it’s real. I made the copycat Hailey Bieber Erewhon Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie — with a bumper crop of late‑summer strawberries — and it was actually pretty good. The innovation of the glaze is the hook that makes it popular at Erewhon in LA, where I’ll never visit unless they land in NYC. I skipped the full coconut‑cream cap on top and instead added a splash of coconut milk to the pour. (The rest of the coconut milk became ice cubes for future adventures.) Don’t burn the glaze like I did; a few fresh strawberries rescued it. The seemingly disparate ingredients come together with surprising depth.
